CraftsyThere are a ton of daily deals sites out there. You’ve probably heard many of the big names — Groupon, Living Social, Zulily, and so forth. Well, did you know there is now a daily deal site for all you crafters out there? It’s called Craftsy, and they have two really awesome things going for them. Not only do they feature really, really good deals every day on things you probably use often like yarn (they even have organic yarn!), thread, needles, and so forth — they also have online crafting classes!

Block of the Month Class

A great example of these classes is one currently going on called “Block of the Month.” This class runs for an entire year and if you participate, you should have an entire quilt made :) The class is taught by Amy Gibson, an expert in the quilting field. She walks you step by step through the process of creating your quilt blocks and then, during the last two months of the class, finishing the quilt.

Block of the Month is completely free to sign up for, and each installment is available via video on the Craftsy site, so you can log in and watch whenever you have time. Another bonus is that it’s all very user-friendly and there is an option to send your questions to Amy if you have them.

If you’re a crafter, I have a feeling that overall, Craftsy will become one of your frequent online “haunts” if sign up and check it out. The Block of the Month also sounds like a ton of fun if you either like to quilt or have always wanted to make one yourself.
